How to split and cut elements on the timeline?

We can use the ✂ Split icon option to split a video or audio at a specific time. 

To split an element:

Step 1: Select the element.

Step 2: Adjust the timeline seeker at the exact moment you would like to split.

Step 3: Click the ✂ Split icon option, or the C key on your keyboard to split the element in that place.
