What are credits and how does the credit system work on invideo?

Updated today

Credits are invideo's internal currency, and they're used each time you create or edit a video. The number of credits used depends on how long your video is and what kind of content you include, like AI actors, Express avatars, or just stock footage.

Credits are charged at the time of video creation, based on the duration of your video (calculated per second). Here's a breakdown of how they're used:

Using Generative Media Ads/videos (AI-generated videos)

🎭 Videos created using AI actors:

Video Duration

Credits Counted

30 seconds or less

20 credits

1 minute

40 credits

2 minutes 29 seconds

~99 credits

All values above are calculated at 0.67 credits/second and then rounded to the nearest whole credit.

🎥 Videos created without AI actors:

Video Duration

Credits Counted

30 seconds or less

10 credits

1 minute

20 credits

2 minutes 29 seconds

~49 credits

All values above are calculated at 0.33 credits/second and then rounded to the nearest whole credit.

👇 Note:

  • The AI actor includes your own AI Twin (Express avatar), UGC Human actor, and UGC Virtual actor.

  • Suppose you edit a video created using our Remix feature, whether by modifying the generated media, adding more chapters from the Script section, or changing the media duration. In that case, credits will be charged based on our plugin rates: 1 image = 0.22 credits, a 5-second clip = 1.67 credits, and a 3-second clip = 1 credit.
