How to edit clips in invideo timeline

Trim clip boundaries, split a clip into sections and rearrange footage in invideo Editor.

Trim a clip to change its start or end, split it to make separately editable sections, or move it to change when it appears in your video. These are manual timeline edits in invideo Editor.

Trim the beginning or end

1. Select the clip and zoom in until its boundaries are easy to see.

2. Drag its beginning or end inward to remove material from that edge.

3. Preview the boundary and the neighboring clip to check the timing.

Split a clip into sections

1. Select the clip you want to divide.

2. Position the playhead at the intended cut.

3. Select the Blade Edit tool, then click the clip at the playhead to split it into two sections.

4. Select the resulting sections separately to continue editing. To isolate a section in the middle, split at its beginning and end.

Rearrange clips

1. Drag the clip to the intended time position on the appropriate track.

2. Check the nearby clips for gaps, overlaps or an unintended change in order.

3. Play across the joins and listen for changes in the sound.

When moving footage with linked audio, check that both parts remain in sync. If a clip will not move, inspect the track's lock control. Review one change at a time so you can identify what altered the sequence.
