How to generate media
Connect your AI agent.
Follow How do I use invideo MCP? and complete the invideo sign-in.Choose the project.
Ask your agent to create a project or give it the editor link for an existing project.Describe what you want to generate.
Specify whether you need an image, video or audio. Include the subject, style and intended use. For video or audio, include the duration you want.Identify any reference assets.
If your request uses your own footage or images, upload them to the project and tell the agent which files to use. See How do I use my own images, videos and audio with invideo MCP?.Generate the asset and place it in the edit.
Tell the agent where the result should appear, such as the opening shot, after a particular clip or beneath the narration.Review the result in invideo Editor.
Check the generated asset in the context of your timeline. Describe any changes you want or adjust the edit manually.
What should I ask my agent to generate?

Include the details that matter to your edit. If you have a preferred generation model, ask the agent to confirm that it is available for your request.
Can I combine generated media with my own footage?
Yes. Your invideo project can contain generated media alongside your uploaded footage, images and audio. Tell the agent which existing assets to use and which new assets to generate.
Does generating media use credits?
Yes. Image, video and audio generation uses invideo credits. Credit usage depends on the model and generation settings. Check the invideo pricing page for current plan information.
