Audio output levels and the loudness meter help you monitor the sound in your edit.
Open Settings at the top right of the editor.
Under Panels, enable Audio output levels to display output levels.
Under Audio waveform, enable Loudness meter (LU) to display the loudness meter.
Each display has its own setting, so you can enable them separately.
